Judy Vanderwerf will be speaking about “The YELLO DINO method.” The Yello Dino method teaches children how to protect themselves from people who mean them harm: abductors, sexual abusers, drug pushers, bullies, internet stalkers, abusers, and violent kids.
Ms. Vanderwerf is a highly respected child protection specialist on anti-victimization and child abuse prevention, having presented programs throughout the Pacific Northwest, New York, Arizona as well as Texas.
She has provided parent education programs and child safety programs to thousands of children, parents and teachers for over 20 years.

Summer Park Dates!
Pack a lunch and come join your friends for summer fun every Tuesday from 11:00‐1:00.

Our first park date will be on June 1st at St. Edwards Park (1445 Juanita Drive, Kenmore).
We will cancel if there is rain. Park dates are organized by parents and are NOT official ICP events.

Family Skate Night at the Skate King
Families skate for a special price on Sundays! Get your Xanadou on!
Date/Time: Sundays from 12:30-6pm
Cost: $17/family (4-6 people & one parent must attend & all must be present) and $1.50-$4.00 for skate rental.
Location: Bellevue Skate King - 2301 140th Avenue East, Bellevue
Also a Tiny Tots Skate on Saturdays from 10:30am-12:30pm – admission is $5 and skate rental is free. (age 10 & under with parent). Great chance to let your tot experience skating without getting run over!

Public Skate at the Kingsgate Ice Arena
Dates/Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11:15am-2:15pm, Wednesdays 3-6pm and Sundays 2:30-4:30pm.
Cost: $7 for adults. $6 for ages 6-12 and $3 for those under 3 years old.

NWAerials “Wiggle Worms” Drop-in Play
Gymnastics school where you can get a punchcard or drop in to play with your little one on the floor trampoline, foam block pit and Gymboree-like play area. There is a professional watching over everything, but you’re mostly on your own. There are many days and times of each day that this playtime is available, so it’s easy & flexible

Storytime at a KCLS Library
Storytimes at the King County Libraries are free and fun! Lake Hills library in Bellevue is a hidden gem because it has a storytime where smaller siblings are welcome (some storytimes ask that you stay within the age range specified). There are several storytimes to choose from at each library, including ones that focus on a particular culture and language. Check the link for times and directions. Click here for more information.

Moonpaper Tent Storytime at Hush Baby at the Redmond Town Center
Moonpaper Tent is a group of professional storytellers that come to Hush Baby Children’s boutique and tell stories that your children can participate in with costumes, face paint, etc. This is free, but it’s in a supercool store, so you may end up buying something cute, but you don’t have to : ) Hush Baby also provides free lattes and hot chocolate!

Kidsquest Children’s Museum at the Factoria Mall
Kidsquest Children’s Museum is a hidden gem in the Factoria Mall in Bellevue. There are areas for younger kids in the “backyard” and older kids will love exploring the cab of a real big rig! There is also a great waterplay area and ongoing crafts and activities. The Factoria Mall also has a Target, Red Robin, a post office and other restaurants & stores so you can get some extra errands done at the same time!
